The Power of the Pivot
Eight months into 2020 and we, as a people, are tired. Wave after wave of seemingly insurmountable challenges have left many overwhelmed and eager to start anew in 2021. Despite our collective weariness, we must press on. Not only is there a highly anticipated presidential election on the horizon, there is an entire economy to rebuild and millions of Americans to incorporate back into the workforce.

Here at VB Consulting, we’ve been laser focused on supporting clients in any way we can. Like many organizations, several projects have taken a back seat to launching new solutions linked to the Coronavirus response. As our client partners focus on implementing safe and academically appropriate protocols to slow the spread of COVID-19, we pivoted to building new solutions that could help institutions thrive in the long term. What we found was an overwhelming number of grants targeting small businesses who are bold enough to innovate during the pandemic.
One such grant was offered sizable grants to women-led businesses to help them sustain despite the pandemic. The award targeted 25 female-owned businesses across the nation and ultimately funded everything from ingredients to keep a bakery afloat to start-up costs associated with launching our very own COVID-19 focused solutions. Valaurie and everyone at VB Consulting couldn’t be more happy to be selected for this award.

“This funding allowed us to pivot very quickly to building tools that directly address problems facing clients right now.” VB Consulting’s CEO, Valaurie Bridges Lee, began, “We value partnership so it is critical for us to respond quickly with viable solutions to help clients thrive.”
